About
Background
I am an undergraduate student at the Harokopio University of Athens, in the Department of Informatics and Telematics.
I've always been in touch with technology. I really liked Windows XP when I was a kid and I had to know what each single button did... Clicking random things and breaking things always felt fun.
More nerdy OS stuff
I graduated from Windows XP to 7, and then to 8.1, 10, 11. Starting my undergraduate degree, I got into Linux. After a year of distro-hopping, I finally settled on Fedora (currently used both on a Desktop and on a Home Server). I've been using Linux for almost the entirety of my undergraduate studies. In December of 2023 I added MacOS to the roster, and I can proudly say that I've used pretty much every major consumer operating system.
Sorry, but I don't have a favorite. I like them all for different reasons. I hope to someday fiddle with older versions of these operating systems.
Many CS subjects have caught my attention. I've developed a particular interest in the following subjects:
- Computer Vision
- Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI
- DevOps
- WebDev
- And more recently, Electronics
An amazing piece of software I use is Obsidian. It's my digital pen and paper. I use it to orgainize my thoughts, notes, posts, ideas, and whatever else I can think of.
Perhaps not suprisingly, but I also play video games. I particularly love FromSoftware Studio games.
